Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 30 g sugar
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 120 ml warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 40 g unsalted butter (softened)
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 apple (peeled and diced)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 40 g flour (for crumble topping)
  • 25 g sugar (for crumble topping)
  • 25 g cold butter (for crumble topping)
  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Warm the milk slightly and add it to the dry ingredients along with the egg and butter. Mix until dough forms.
  2. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Let rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for 30-45 minutes.
  3. For the filling, blend cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Sauté diced apples with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread cheesecake filling, add apple filling, roll into a log shape, then cut into equal pieces.
  5. Place on a lined baking sheet, sprinkle crumble topping over each bun, and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Drizzle with glaze made from whisking powdered sugar with milk once cooled slightly.
