- 3/4 cup cake flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar

- 1 onion, diced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 0.3 lbs ground beef
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 3 cubes Japanese curry roux
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, cake flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast.
- Melt the butter and add it to the warm milk. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients along with one beaten egg.
- Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add diced onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add diced carrots and potatoes; cook until they begin to soften.
- Stir in ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add soy sauce, ketchup, curry roux cubes, and water; simmer until thickened.
- Divide dough into small balls (about 16). Flatten each ball into a circle.
- Place some filling in the center of each circle; fold over and pinch edges to seal.
- Heat oil in your deep fryer or pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each filled bun into beaten egg followed by panko breadcrumbs.
- Fry in batches until golden brown on all sides.
