  • 8 napa cabbage leaves, sliced

  • 1/2 block soft tofu, cubed
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 4 slices ginger
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder (or salt to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium-size pot over medium-high heat, combine chicken broth, ginger, green onion, garlic, and soy sauce; bring to a boil.
  2. Add the white parts of the napa cabbage and mushrooms (if using) to the pot; cook for about 4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the green parts of the napa cabbage and tofu; continue cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Season with bouillon powder (or salt), white pepper, and drizzle sesame oil before serving hot.
