- 1 pound unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 8 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 drop pink food coloring (a very small drop)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- In one bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder. In another bowl, cream together salted butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix in sour cream and milk until combined; gradually add dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting with prepared buttercream.
