  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced and sautéed
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with foil or a loaf pan.
  2. Cook the turkey bacon in a frying pan until crispy, then set aside. Sauté the sliced mushrooms in the leftover fat until browned.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper; mix gently.
  4. Stir in half of the shredded Swiss cheese into the meat mixture.
  5. Shape the mixture into a loaf on your prepared baking sheet or transfer it into your loaf pan.
  6. Top with remaining Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and chopped turkey bacon.
  7. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  8. Allow resting for about 10 minutes before slicing.
